Animal Rights 365 : They Have Their Rights Just Like Us

"When a man wants to murder a tiger he calls it sport; when the tiger wants to murder him he calls it ferocity." ~ George Bernard Shaw

When I think of Humankind's knowledge, it makes me to wonder about their genius and brilliance. And when I think of Humankind's wisdom, it makes me to ponder about their cruelty and bestiality. And that evidently gives way to William Shakespeare's an old aphorism; "There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so." So should I judge my thoughts as per the thoughts I think.

My far-reaching point here is Isaac Asimov's earth-shattering point; "The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom." In other words Charlie Chaplin defines Asimov; "We think too much and feel too little." In this world of modernization and materialism, our mind has overtaken our heart. We have really forgotten who we really are. Time keeps on, life goes on and we keep on going the downtrodden way.

Where is your kindness for the animals? Where is the share and care for the animals? We were born to live and love one another. We were born for happiness. We were born to respect other's rights. We were born to leap and help others. This earth is plenty for everyone's need but earth suffers from deficiency for everyone's greed.

Every day, innumerable innocent animals are being slaughtered, butchered and exterminated, either for meat, fur, religion, or money. The animals are banged, bumped and hit. The animals are being left for starvation for many days before they face the unnatural death. They cry for their lives, for their rights, for their peace, for their place on this earth but do we hear them? Do we feel them? Do we make best use of our genius? No. Not. Never. We have become the robots. We have become what we call "senseless human". We have lost our identity. We have become just like a drop of water the loses its identity when it joins the ocean of animals. And we have lost it and become the worst animals.

Our final purpose of life is enlightenment. Our ultimate reason of life is benevolence. We got to help as many as we can, for helping others can only yield the best in both; the giver and the receiver. But this brokenhearted God's honest truth is we have gone beyond what God has created us. Forget about helping others, we harm and hurt them in many merciless, limitless ways and this is what I consider as the worst crime ever.

It can strongly be a concrete pillars for what Dalai Lama had said; "Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." Let the giver and receiver feel good for the help one has rendered and it will be a blessing in every possible way. But why on the earth should you hurt others? If you help others, help others, it's good. And if you can't help others, don't hurt others, it's better and the best.

We got to know that there is a very negligible difference between humans and animals. If it was in some science calculations, we either neglect it or pin it to zero. And so should we neglect that minute difference and feel the we all are same for the name we are. They have life and soul, we have. They have pain and suffering, we have. They have hunger and anger, we have. They have happiness and dolefulness, we too have. They have feelings and emotions, those also we devilishly have. Then what is the difference? The only difference is, they help us and we hurt them. They work for us and we fork for them. They live for us and we shorten their lives. They sell their resources free of cost to us and we sell them to slaughterhouse free of emotions with the helluva money of glee. They respect our rights and we disrespect their rights (forget about respecting others, most of the times we even don't respect ourselves.) By far, animals have become humans and humans have become animals.

Please kindly, thoughtfully have patience to note Sri Aurobindo's noteworthy and trustworthy words; "Life is life--whether in a cat or dog or man. There is no difference there between a cat or a man. The idea of difference is human conception for man's own advantage." We must be ashamed and guilty for not being in satisfaction with the resources give by the earth and guiltier for hurting, slaughtering and consuming others' lives those are as equal as us.

My simple question which is attributed to Shaw, "If a group of beings from another planet were to land on Earth - beings who considered themselves as superior to you as you feel yourself to be to other animals - would you concede them the rights over you that you assume over other animals? " I am absolutely sure that almost all of us will have two answers for the aforementioned thought-provoking question and the funny here is, these two given answers will be completely a contradiction. Yeah, we won't let them concede their rights over us but what to say, we will surely concede them the rights over them. How cruel we are? How unnatural we are? Don't we feel that we need to change drastically and begin the new thoughts for new life. Come on, Homo Sapiens, let's start to life a better fruitful life.

Every soul on this planet deserves rights to live a life of happiness and freedom for every being came here for itself but not for us or anyone. So when animals can understand and serve us with their helps why should we thoughtlessly kill them and fill our stomach just for a meal that can be replaced by many other healthier nutrients, where slaughtering them is sincerely not needed. We can earn more by caring them than by slaughtering them. But what I really presume is, we got to learn a nice lesson from the story of "A Man and His Golden Goose", where a man loses everything after slaughtering his Golden Goose. The thoughtless thought he has is he thinks he can earn more by killing his goose where he can find more golden eggs to sell but poverty haunts him unlike his life with his goose.

Butchering animals for the money is just like cutting an apple tree to get an apple from greater heights. Once you cut your tree, you shall never have profit forget about this, you will be engulfed by poverty.

I on behalf of all lovable and benign animals request our dear humankind to think thoughtfully about the points and joints mentioned above for our own benefits. We live only for an hour, across this infinity time and universe, so please let us live in peace as just you wish and live in you daily life. One thing that is nearly sure is there is hell and heaven once we leave from this and one thing shall always happen to us according to the behaviors which shall surely get reflected when the time ripens.
